03 May walking in High Park
The trouble with taking a lot of photos on any given day is that you tend not to think of the work involved afterwards. You’re caught up in the moment you find yourself in and snap, snap, snap goes the shutter. And honestly, I’m much better than I used to be and take half the photos I would have before. But later, the culling, the editing, the posting … it all takes sooo much time and I confess to laziness on most days.
Oh shush … you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Which is why I’m just now getting around to posting some of the photos from my walk around High Park (although I’ll be back-dating this to the proper date of May 3 as soon as I hit the publish button). And yes, I said some photos. heh. On this particular day I had rented myself a shiny Canon 10-22mm and so, my enthusiasm *ahem* got a little bit out of control. What a fun lens! I had a great time playing up to the exaggerated distortion you can achieve (for some, not a desired effect but I love it) and experimenting with what it can do. I have to say I need quite a lot more practice :)
Here then are a few of my shots from that day. Wildlife, cherry blossoms and people watching. I love people watching! Some shots with the rental lens, the first two shots are instagrams. Click on most to view larger. I hope you enjoy all of them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
I have a few favorites from this group. I’d be interested to know if you do! :)
xoxo
