snowy purple Tuesday

I’ve been crazy busy and missing futzing around (yes that’s a word, hush) with my shots. My love of textures never goes away. With this shot though, it looks like the texture has totally taken over the photo, but no, that’s just me screwing up. heh. I had my 100mm set at f2.8 and it shouldn’t have been – hence the super narrow focus.

Live and learn ;)

I’ve been missing my flickr groups too. So, since it’s Tuesday, this one is for one of my favorite women on flickr, the always inspiring Maureen.

Happy Purple Tuesday! :)

Is that a real snowflake? You are able to capture that on your camera in that much detail? I am so envious of your photography skills, J.

And yes, “futzing” is totally a word. A yiddish word, actually. It is the feminine equivalent of “putzing” around which is totally not a nice word since “putz” in yiddish means another not so nice word for “penis”.

So, you are awarded the Jew girl seal of approval for utilizing the correct terminology. Add it to your resume of great accomplishments.

Do I get my honorary crown?
      or at least a badge.
      Please? ;)

I thought you were putting me on, so I went and checked.
      It IS a word! ROFL!!!

Would I mislead you on the beauty of the Yiddish language? You are now an honorary Jew. Congrats. Not too many of us in Canadialand! LOL

amazing snowflakes, great texture — and that narrow focus is absolutely right for this shot. plus, the side benefit of making purple-loving maureen happy. seems like a match made in heaven.

I’m going to try a smaller fstop next time and I think a different perspective might help.
