I recently came across a group on flickr, Worm’s Eye View Sundays.

(told you there’s a group for everything – if you see it in your lens, there’s a group for it, count on it .. LOL)

Anyways, when the leaves started falling around here a few weeks back, I started having a little fun with my camera, shooting “blind”.  I wanted the street views, down low at street level, but I wasn’t about to get down on my elbows in the middle of my neighbourhood, y’know?  So I’d set up my camera settings (exposure, Fstop, etc), slap it on auto focus, hold the camera down level with the ground (so I could stay in a somewhat socially acceptable squat), wait for the focus beep and shoot.

Fun!

Honestly, totally fun seeing what you come up with :)

So yeah, I found a group that does just that.  Although I don’t know that everybody’s shooting blind, but no matter.  It’s all about the view!

I took this shot yesterday, and saved it for today :)

Cool background bokeh courtesy of the morning sun through the trees.  Love it!  And the slight tilt is due to the ‘shooting blind’ thing. I could’ve straightened it out, but I kind of like the angle :)

Exposure bumped up 1/3 in lightroom because it was a little dark. Cropped square and sized for web.

(feeling the need to explain myself today, pay no mind)

I think I’m going to love this new group.
