7 on 7 When Winter Finally Went Home

About the 7 on 7 Project: Post seven photos on the seventh day of each month – a no pressure project with like-minded photo friends. No rules and no themes, just tell a story with some favourite photos from the previous month, and link to the next photographer in line. Easy and pressure-free. Enjoy!

and Summer finally showed up.

Not Spring.

One day we were all wearing parkas and dreaming of sunshine, the next day we were tossed headlong into blazing 32 degree (89F) days that absolutely nobody was prepared for.

And we all loved every sweaty, smelly moment of it.

So I don’t have very many photos this month. I was too busy baking in the heat.

I also don’t have very many words.

But hey, I wrote a whole shit ton of words last month and some of them were pretty damn good, (along with the cutest photo ever of the extremely rare (not) Mini Sized American Red Squirrel), but nobody showed up to read them, so pffftttt I’m not going to feel any guilt over this almost-wordless post.

This is a guilt-free chipmunk. Eating my bird seed. Guilt.Free.

I’ll tell you what I do feel guilty about though.

You may recall Barbara-Bob from past posts (or maybe not – nobody reads anything longer than a sentence these days).

Barbara-Bob, Barbara-Bob’s boyfriend Barry, and their little offspring Betty-Sue (you read that right, three damn groundhogs) have all been forced out of their cozy home under my house and on to greener pastures.

We shall all take a moment to acknowledge the cuteness of Betty-Sue and then we will move the hell on.

The guilt is killing me.

Betty-Sue. I think she was waiting for the fairies to answer that door. Or just, you know, eating my entire garden.

Farewell Betty-Sue.

You were damn cute.

Moving on.

At some point last month, I DID know the name of this little flower. Honest.

Hello Handsome.

And that’s all she wrote.

Literally.

Kristina is up next with her seven photos from May. Go pay her, and the rest of my friends, a little love, will ya?
See you next month!

I love your witty posts and gorgeous photos. I’ve got some rabbits and ground squirrels hanging out in my yard these days. I’ll have to look closer to see if it is Barbara-Bob.

It would have been nice if she had JUST hung out in the yard.
But apparently she was intent on living under the house, and possibly inhabiting the basement LOL
