08 Dec reflecting on the season
Day 8 of Picture The Holidays, and today we were challenged to find a reflecting point of view.
From this morning’s email,
Reflective surfaces can be creative muses in your photography. There is no way of knowing exactly how the reflection will translate. Shoot something in a reflective surface today and see what you find. It could be you looking back at you, or it could be some other kind of seasonal magic. It’s all in how you look at it.
I immediately thought of the gorgeous shop windows here in my town.
And it didn’t take me long to find this set-up at a well known decor stop. I love how the store lights from across the street, and a few headlights from passing cars turned into some cool bokeh in the window and the glass ledge behind the candles. Fun!
I love shooting through a storefront window and it probably won’t be the last time I do it this month. Everything is just so darn pretty this time of year.
