Frozen February
and not the pretty, singing, twirling Disney type of Frozen. I’m damn cold.
This past month has been the coldest on record in a loooooong long time. I’m about done with it all, really. That photo up there is my front porch, a week or two ago.
Lemonade, anyone? Pass the sunscreen.
It didn’t start out half bad though. In fact, we were pretty spoiled for the first half of the winter.
(yes, I’m throwing a few January photos into the mix because you all know I am an A-1 slacker of late and I missed the link up last month, so there)
You start to go a little stir crazy when the weather gets too cold to do anything normal outside. Like, you know, breathe through your nose and stuff like that.
Lately, I’ve been drawing up plans for our gardens (she says laughingly) this year and buying some new plants here and there for the house. Anything that looks and smells like summer, I’m in.
Some days though, despite the freezing cold, the sun decides to make an appearance and the whole world turns Narnia beautiful.
Those days are worth it.
A few days ago, on my way to work, I drove past one of my favourite farms hoping to catch a glimpse of their magnificent horses in the sunshine. I caught more than a glimpse. The horses were apparently sharing my joy that beautiful sunny day, prancing and galloping in the frigid morning air. They are so amazingly beautiful.
Just outstandingly magnificent. I could watch them for hours.
We’re into March now, and currently enjoying yet another Polar Vortex.
I’m just going to keep looking for the sunshine.
Cristy is up next with her seven from February. Make sure you stop by and see what she’s been up to, and keep making your rounds to the rest of my friends.
OH! PeeEsssss!!!
In my last post, I told you about the 1 Second Everyday project I was starting. I’m totally enjoying it and if you’d like to join in with a 1se project of your own, I’d love to see it! I love that they’re only 30-40 seconds long and yet, it’s a wonderful glimpse of day to day life.
I’m going to update this post in the next day or two with my January and February videos, if you care to check back. If not, see you next month!
Added below!
And go see Cristy. Now.

Posted at 16:40h, 07 MarchWow! Your photo of that gorgeous horse soaking up that sunshine… Just stunning!!! I am so sorry you have had such a long cold winter! Ours has been ridiculously rainy and we are all about over it – but fortunately not too cold – and the sun has started peaking out lately and I have been like a spring chicken running around embracing it!!! Praying for some warm sun for you soon!!!
