focus52|2012 {week fifty-two} december 23 to 31

Week fifty-two! You’ve made it! A commitment to an entire year of taking at least one photo each week, and you’ve done it! I hope that you’ve enjoyed your time here and maybe learned a thing or two and/or made some new friends. I’m thankful that you’ve stuck around all year and it’s been my absolute pleasure to host focus52 in 2012 and to have met so many new faces this year.

So what are we up to during our final week of 2012? Well, the sky is the limit, really. Holiday photos, of course, but I’d like to give you all a gentle nudge in reminding you to take some time for yourself during the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Soak in the special moments and admire the beauty and light during this glorious time of year. Breathe. Enjoy. Relax.

This final week will also see a bit of a different format here at focus52. Our week52 will run right up until the stroke of midnight on December 31st. During this time, I invite you to link up as many photos as you like here on the blog. The linkup will close January 1st at midnight. If you choose to take a photo a day (which I highly recommend! it’s such an awesome keepsake to look back on – trust me) then come back each day and share your work here. There is no limit to your linkups. As for the focus52 flickr pool – the pool will be open to 10 uploads this week, again with uploading available until midnight on January 1st. Please choose your photos wisely and share the best of your lot with us.

I’m a little late with a printable I made for you guys. I started on it last week and then, well, the week got away from me. But here it is, available on the twoscoopz facebook page if you’d like to download it. And hey! If you’re looking for a last minute hostess gift, fire up your printer, grab a frame and you’re done!

(Please remember that twoscoopz downloads are for personal use only – absolutely no commercial use or redistribution in any form)

Click the image below to be redirected to twoscoopz.com on facebook. You must ‘like’ the page to download.

And that’s it, my friends! I’m looking forward to seeing all of the wonderful photos of your holidays. Don’t forget, links must be to the direct URL of your actual work, not just to the site it’s posted in, and may be a link to your blog post or to your flickr photo (again, the actual photo, not your entire flickr stream). It’s a fact that those who link up early, get the most interaction on their work, so get the photos in!  Also, please don’t link and run – try to find some time to visit at least a few of your fellow 52’rs. That’s half the fun!  And don’t forget the focus52 flickr pool.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Feliz Navidad, Joyeux Noël, Happy Hanukkah … no matter how or when you celebrate, I wish you the very, very best of the Season.

xoxo

Thanks so much for running this again this year! I fell off the wagon a bit at the end – my 365 has a lot of camera pictures and my photo groups were almost abandoned – but it was always in my thoughts. It’s been amazing doing this each year and I know it was a lot to do with your leadership and inspiration!
