07 Aug focus52 august 7 to august 13
One of the things I often tell my girl is, “smile, and the rest of your self will follow”.
She typically rolls her eyes at me when I say this, but it’s truth. Smile, and your mood will reflect that smile. Frown, and your mood will reflect the frown.
A smile can light up a room, light up your face, turn a bad day good, melt your heart … it’s a gift to give and a pleasure to receive.
Wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been.
– Mark Twain
Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.
– Mother Teresa
A warm smile is the universal language of kindness.
– William Arthur Ward
Our focus52 prompt for this week is (take a guess) …
* smiles *
Along with your project for this week, wouldn’t it be great if you made a conscious effort to keep that smile on your face? Not a fake, icky smile. The real, true, genuine deal. Smile at a co-worker. Smile at a stranger (be careful with that one … no arrests, please). Walk around with a silly smile on your face and let people wonder what you’re thinking (or, y’know, what’s wrong with you).
The prompt can be interpreted in whichever way you like, and in whatever medium you choose, and it’s entirely up to you whether or not you use it. Also, please don’t feel that you have to use the prompt in order to come back and share on the weekend. We just want to see what you’ve been up to.
Enjoy your week, and don’t forget …
