all lit up {350/365}

Day two, hanging out with the Mortal Muses and today’s prompt is “lights”.

Every Christmas, the Kinsmen Club lights up a park here in my town. Every tree, shrub, fence … every single inch of it is strung with lights. It’s quite a sight and one of my favourite places to visit. It’s pretty magical.

So I was down there taking shots for todays prompt and soaking up the magic, thoroughly enjoying myself,

when this pulled up …

How AWESOME is that? I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face.

Classic.

Some people are just steeped in holiday spirit :)

Oh my gosh, that truck is sooooo awesome. I would be in heaven too! Your pictures are gorgeous. I saw your note about LED lights in the comments. What’s the problem you are experiencing? I have to admit, I haven’t worked with them much – it sounds like something I’m going to need to experiment with! :)

      You and me both!
Mostly on tighter shots, I get either an ugly blob of colour or a completely blown out white. Exposing properly (well, I shouldn’t say that – exposing what I THINK is properly … LOL!) I get the bulb, nicely defined and good clarity … except that it looks like it’s turned off. ha! No glow whatsoever. But I was thinking that could be the angle I’m catching too. LEDs are weird. And lights further down the string will be lit, but yeah, not pretty.
      Scratching my head.
Nothing compares to glass, I guess? ;)

Okay, so I’ll be expecting a class from you before next Christmas :)

The truck just kills me. :) And the trees are indeed gorgeous. I wish my back yard looked like that, without having to string all the lights myself.

I wonder if they have a count of how many lights are in the park.
      They must.
I’m going to check that ;)

Oh wholey WOW!!!!! The truck is awesome indeed!!! You know someone has a heart full of Christmas magic!!!

But you captured my favorite things, all in one with that snow laden tree lit with blue lights!!!! It is fantastic! To me that has always been the visual perception of what the words ~On a cold winter’s night that was so deep…~ in “The First Noel” was trying to describe. Delightful photo, J!!!

LOVE the truck, but I’m loving the trees as well. That’s real snow, right? :-/ Weird to me since I’m in Colorado and we have not one flake, it totally caught me by surprise!

Um, that’d be a no. I, however, would LOVE to come have coffee with you while we watch some hot young things (I’ll pay) we hired shovel!
