broken {301/365}

A moment of silence for my old girl, please …

broken 301/365

Poor old thing.

So, what to do? What now?

I’ve thought about carrying on with my project, using my little cybershot (used to take this shot, actually – it has a surprisingly awesome macro setting) and doing the whole, ‘yes you CAN take great shots with whatever camera you have’.  Because, it’s true, you can.

But the whole point of this 365 project, for me, was to learn and grow in the technical aspects of photography, y’know? I started this year out shooting in full on automatic settings. I didn’t know what camera raw was. I didn’t know a thing about exposure or f stops. No idea what that “M” on my camera did.

And now I do.

And there’s still so much to learn.

I can ill afford it, but I’ll most likely end up in the camera shop this weekend. Truthfully, I’d rather cut off my phone and cable than go without my camera.

(I think)

So until then, or even until I make up my mind, I’m just going to not stress about the whole situation (ahem) and either use my little point and shoot, or throw a few shots from this month up here.  Either/Or. Whatever.

I’ll tell you this though, I WILL finish this project.  Hell, yes :)

I might even get my old girl fixed, just because.

I’m strangely attached to her.

I am going to suggest using the quick shot thingy to continue on for now. Don’t post up old pics. Go with the “you can do it no matter what camera you have” theory. You’re supposed to do a new pic every day…so throwing up old ones is cheating. LOL You can do this…just a bump in the road of creativity.

I still think it was a nudge from above to go shopping though. I’m going with that. LOL

I do believe you’re right, chickadee.
      On both counts :)
Okay … and thank you. Needed that.

I think it’s the image sensor. Bad news.
So more like one of those “special” spas in Sweden? LOL ;)

Oh no! I’m sending good wishes your way in hope that your camera can be easily, quickly and cheaply fixed
