up on the hill {299/365}

I’ve been meaning to stop and take pictures of this barn for I don’t know how long.

Driving by the other day, I noticed that one side had collapsed.

So today, I stopped.

Better late than never (which could quite feasibly be any day now, heh).

I really hope they try to fix it, although looking at it, that seems next to impossible, doesn’t it?

What a shame.

Bigger shame if I miss out on some of that gorgeous barn wood ;)

A dull rainy background (this weather is nasty!), made interesting with the help of a few textures from the brilliant Jerry over at Shadowhouse Creations.

      I’ve also secretly (or maybe not so secret heh) wanted to live in one. There are quite a few companies that will build you a barn home and they’re omg gorgeous.
      Could you imagine?
      Or when I see the old barn reno’s on HGTV, I die :)

    One of these days, I’m going to have to go back over your photos and connect with all the resources you’ve credited. The flock of birds sets this right off!

    Wow, what a find that barn is, and what a great shot you got of it. I can find plenty of old barns, but often they are surrounded by so much other crap, or shiny new pole barns that I can’t get a decent shot. So sorry to see it is probably not going to be around much longer. Here’s hoping some of it’s structure finds it’s way to a good home with you.
