summer fun {206/365}

Last night, I walked over to the little midway that’s set up next to the Ribfest going on here in town.  I had my mind set on ideas for the Sunday Creative prompt “traditions” and summer midways are nothing but traditional.  They’re a staple.

As usual, my brain went pffffttttt in thinking that I had until today to get my post up.

Nope.  Last night.

Whatever.

That’s me … day late and a dollar short :p

Anyways …

I took these daytime ones today

page-day206

and this one is my shot for today

candied apples 206/365

These are from last night, playing around with long exposure without a tripod
(again … brain … none)

from day 206

but they didn’t turn out too bad.

from day 206

And then look at this fun shot that showed up!

take me to your leader

Repeat after me …. ‘take me to your leader’ (use zombie voice).

Cracks me up :)

(larger, on black, here if you’re on the new flickr)

So yeah … Sunday Creativelast week’s edition :)

I should probably start doing these a little earlier in the week. Right?

Maybe.

I don’t think I’ve got one posted since denim. The week flys by. I love your shots, love the processing. Cotton candy colors, yum.
And the take me to your leader shot is sooo cool. :) love your take on it, the moon behind the clouds? perfect.

Jan, I love these… especially those soft tones in the first midway shots. But they’re all great!

This series is spectacular, missy. I really want to hang it all in the guest bedroom (which is also the “media” room), so it seems more “real” than the stinkin’ video game paraphernalia cluttering it. They make me happily nostalgic.

And your Rumi post made me cry. I’ve been crying a lot today. Thank you for catering to my hormonal irrationality.
