vintage barn {139/365}

I think some barn shots are way overdue, no?

from day 139

At least when I have to venture into a roadside ditch these days, it’s not into five feet of snow!

As usual, I can’t remember the processing recipe I concocted. Big surprise. There’s Rita’s Butterscotch Vintage action on there along with one other one I don’t remember from somewhere else, a couple of textures from Paree Erica and Skeletal Mess, and some masking, some other adjustments … who knows. I went with textures because the sky was so blah and more than a little blown out.

Here’s my shot for today …

    I can’t think of a better use of textures! These are great!

    did you use some color enhancements on that? they are so stark and beautiful…i can’t fathom that those are the real colors untouched!

    LOVE that first shot – what an awesome foreground with the old barn.

      Thanks C! Y’know, I chose that one first for my POTD but I wasn’t sure of it and so I wimped out and went with the somewhat ‘safe’ shot. Stupid, right?

    Not stupid at all…always questioning ourselves pushes us, and (hopefully) only makes us better.

      I work on them for too long sometimes. Everything starts to look stupid after awhile. Kind of like when you keep spelling a word over and over and then it doesn’t look right? Y’know? :)
