flying seeds {113/365}

Busy day today, and not a shot taken until about 2 hours ago when I ran out to get some groceries.

I took this from the car while I was backing out of my driveway.  Wait, that doesn’t sound right.  I did stop first, then shoot.  heh.  One wonders, right?

This is my neighbour’s bird feeder.

It’s beside my neighbour’s magnolia.

umm … yeah.  Good thing for my neighbour, right?

Anyway .. it’s not much of a shot, but I thought it was really cool that I caught the seed flying.  I had to crop in tight to make him big enough (never a zoom lens handy when you need one) so I don’t know if you can make that out here.  Honest, there’s seeds flying around.  Itty bitty ones.  *ahem.

And speaking of the magnolia, I’ve still been taking shots of it, tracking it’s progress.  Waiting for it to bloom is like watching paint dry, I swear.  I think that, had the weather not been so up and down, it probably would’ve done something by now.

And since I have another busy day tomorrow, that’s probably what you’ll be seeing here.

Magnolia buds, not wet paint.

    Not much of a shot?!? Are you kidding me? This is fantastic, seeds flying, great clarity on the bird, perfect composition, wonderful backlight and a nice smooth bokeh. Maybe I should take a shot while backing out the drive, seems to have worked well for you. lol Have a good weekend!

    Tell your neighbour she’ll save money if she just buys black oil sunflower seeds. Wild birds don’t like millet and they toss it out of the feeder to get to the good stuff. What you shot is a picture of birdies throwing out the trash!

      Ha! I’ll tell HIM :)
      There’s always weeds growing under there and it drives him nutso. Is that why?
      That’s hilarious!!! I should change the title.
      “throwing out the trash” heheee!
