irish envy {76/365}

Today is the day the whole world claims to be Irish.

And why not?  It’s hard to argue with the wisdom …

~ Don’t break your shin on a stool that is not in your way.
~ If you dig a grave for others, you might fall into it yourself.
~ A fool’s money is not long in his pocket.
~ A good word never broke a tooth.
~ Never tell secrets to your relatives’ children.
~ A merry heart lives long.
~ You’ve got to do your own growing, no matter how tall your father was.
~ A lie travels further than the truth.

and my personal favourite …

It’s often a person’s mouth breaks his nose.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

May the road rise up to meet you (and be careful with that green beer).
