red {33/365}

A bright spot on a dismal winter day …

So dismal, that I blew out the exposure on the sky trying to get a nice red on that barn.  Paree Erica’s ‘aqua skies’  texture saves the day.  I like it.

And I like that this project has forced me into using the manual settings on my camera, something I’ve never attempted before.  So I’m learning! even if I am blowing out snow and skies in the process :)

The rest of the shots from today are on my flickr.

    I haven’t gotten the nerve to play with the camera on manual lol I still autofocus because my vision is really bad with my contacts in and then I fiddle with the ISO. I will get to the M, A and S settings soon.

    You can bring it up photoshop and make a layer and select blue and adjust:)

    Oh, I still use the focus 95% of the time, I’ve just been setting my focal point. And it’s only this past week that I’ve started, after six years of owning this camera! LOL!!! So you, my friend, are way ahead of the game :)

    I can’t select anything because the pixels are blown out. Hence, the layer :)

      yep, I tried to add a layer and overlay blue. It worked, to a point but I couldn’t get it to look real so I tossed it. ;)
