cracked {27/365}

I had no idea what to shoot today.  I’m sure it won’t be the last time that happens.

So I went in the green bin and got the eggshells from last night’s banana bread.  Shush … they were clean.

Being another dreary winter day, I didn’t have much to work with in the way of light.  I took this on top of my stove with the light from the hood vent and omg I can’t stand that pink tone.

Anyway, it’s all I’ve got today.

Well, besides this, because you know I can’t stop myself from mucking around …

Hello?  texture-making-people?  I have an unhealthy addiction and you’re feeding it.  (thank you!)

I used three different textures, all from Paree Erica who is so astoundingly talented, I have no words.  Seriously, go have a look at her work and tell me you don’t leave in awe.  She’s amazing.

So tell me something … I was really tempted to use the textured shot for my 365 today.  But then I felt weird about it, because that’s not what my project was supposed to be about.  In my mind, I set out to do this to  learn more about my camera and photography in general, post processing included.  But texture is beyond post processing, isn’t it?  And it’s not really what I set out to do, but I’m so intrigued by it and honestly, can’t stay away from it.

Problem!

Hmmmm … maybe next year I’ll do a year of textures?  Hey!  That could be a plan …

I rarely post process – I figure the only way I’ll learn is to put my photo SOOC out there & get comments…but I’m weird that way, & looking around? I’m in the minority. Maybe do a shot of both -Diptych maybe? each week…

    (I like the original btw)

Love your new place, chicklet … I am between places at the moment. I have nothing to say at xanga it seems, and no time or energy to try to set something up out of nothing. Numb still, I think. There, see, I guess I do have something to say after all… but since that one word puts tears in my eyes it might not be safe to expand on it.
    Love ya, girlfriend :)

I can’t photograph eggs for some reason. They turn out a very odd looking and usually blurry lol

I fear I could get carried away with texture myself if I got into it so I mostly avoid it. I like this though.

amazing texture! And texture post processing photos totally count as 365 photos! Hello it´s super creative, and we are learning to use textures, and learning is what the project is about ;)

True … I suppose I could make it a learning EVERYTHING project. LOL!
Thanks for the compliment! I think it looks a little blah, but the picture was pretty blah to begin with :)
I still love the one I did of my daughter. It’s my fave so far.

The textured one kinda looks like eggnog. I haven’t the slightest idea why that just occurred to me.
