focus52|2012 {week forty-six} november 11 to 17

Welcome to week forty-six of your focus52 project. Today, November 11th, marks a special day throughout the world. Here in Canada and the Commonwealth as well as many other participating countries, it is our Remembrance Day, also referred to as Armistice Day. The United States observes Veterans Day, while a few other countries have their own names, ceremonies and in some cases, an entirely different day or series of days.

No matter your location, it all comes down to Remembrance. On this day we pay our respects and honor our fallen soldiers in ceremonies around the world.

Now although this prompt is inspired by everything I’ve just said, the actual prompt is “remember this” and is open to whatever interpretation you wish to infer. It’s totally up to you. A few things come to mind for me when considering the prompt and I’m sure you’ll have no problem at all capturing your photos this week :)

Whatever you decide to do, follow the prompt or not, please come back here and share your work with us when you’re done (weeks run Sunday to Saturday, don’t forget!). Links must be to the direct URL of your actual work, not just to the site it’s posted in, and may be a link to your blog post or to your flickr photo (again, the actual photo, not your entire flickr stream). It’s a fact that those who link up early, get the most interaction on their work, so get the photos in!  Also, please don’t link and run – try to find some time to visit at least a few of your fellow 52’ers. That’s half the fun!  And don’t forget the focus52 flickr pool.

Have a great week, 52’rs. And I hope you’re able to set aside a bit of time to remember those who made it possible for you to do so.
