focus52 link up! January 23 to 29

Our prompt for this week is ‘play’ and I’m going to admit it’s been giving me a hard time all week. Payback for the hard time I gave you guys last week? hmmm…

I have a shot I ended up taking indoors while Mama Nature has her hissy fit here, but I’m holding onto hope for a sunny weekend. In the meantime, I messed around and made the little word art freebie up there. If you’d like to have it, just click anywhere on the image and it will take you to the download page (personal use only please). The link will expire on February 1st.

(update – link is now expired)

Now let’s get to it!

Link up below! (links must be to the URL of your actual work, not just to the site it’s posted in). Please don’t link and run – try to find some time to visit at least a few of your fellow 52’ers.

And don’t forget to add your work to the flickr pool :)

EDIT:  Unfortunately, the link list for this post had to be removed due to numerous database errors on the part of LinkyTools. Although it was promised that links would remain, as you can see, they most definitely did not. Even after numerous (friendly!) emails to the owner, Brent Riggs, the issue was not corrected.  I’m sad that our member links for this post have been lost.

I have since moved the focus52 linking service to InLinkz and couldn’t be happier with the friendly customer service and ease of use. If you’re looking for a linking tool, I highly recommend them

First of all, thank you for linking up my button! I just noticed you did that. I APPRECIATE you!!!

Second, I am nauseous. My entry this week was pretty hard. I don’t know that the photo did the sentiment justice. It makes me nervous to take photos. I had to stand outside a fence…and I don’t have awesome camera equipment than get get around that…so I edited the photo so it would blur and you would only focus on “the scene of the crime”, so to speak.

*hangs head* I can’t keep up with you guys. LOL You’re all so talented. Meh. :(

      Shush your mouth woman.
I think the way you edited it matches PERFECTLY with your post. Perfectly.
and I’m not just saying that. Mean it.
And I’m also gonna say, your project started out as a writing gig. The fact that you are picking up a camera and matching photos to words is beyond fantastic, makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, and you should be more than proud of yourself.
I know I’m proud of you.
      xoxo

I was so bummed that last week’s prompt was silhouette, just one week before I had great silhouette shots of our current production I produced at work! However, it’s all good since this week the prompt was play & that’s exactly what I’ve been shooting this week…a play! My submission for the week is one of many (that I am still editing) from Death Takes a Holiday. I hope to someday be able to make theatrical photography my specialty. I’d love it if everyone would take a look at the other shots I’ve done :) I’ll have a new blog post with more shots of this production up later today, but I have shots of Our Town, Les Miserables, & many more already up. Just check out the archives in my blog to see the various productions I’ve done.

Link up your blog post when you’re done, Beth!
I love the ones I’ve seen on flickr.
